Slum Child Foundation (S.C.F) is a grassroots community-based nonprofit organization in Kenya with United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) status.
S.C.F. was founded in 2008 and works in informal settlements to advocate and protect the rights of children, youths, and women by guaranteeing quality education, promotion of life skills, better healthcare, and protection against substance abuse.
The organization draws its work experience from the founder and Executive Director of the organization, Mr. George Ochieng, who was born and brought up in the informal settlement of Korogocho, where the organization operates. Mr. Ochieng has a Social Work degree, has spoken at United Nations commission meetings in New York and Vienna, and had recently been commissioned as a captain in the Anglican church.
