George Ochieng Odalo was born and raised in Korogocho, one of the largest and most challenging informal settlements in Nairobi, Kenya. Growing up in poverty, crime, and drug-infested environments, George witnessed firsthand the struggles that children and youth in the slums face daily.

He saw many young people drop out of school due to lack of fees and end up in crime, drug abuse, and early pregnancies. The lack of mentors, role models, and opportunities pushed many into hopelessness. Determined to change the cycle, George chose a different path—one of education, resilience, and community service.
