Queens Life Skills Project (Young Mothers Support Program):
This project trains teenage girls and young mothers in skills such as hairdressing, bookkeeping, branding, culinary arts, and tailoring, along with providing startup kits to help them establish income-generating activities. Weekly peer support groups allow them to share life experiences and coping mechanisms.
- Additional Training: Participants receive training in customer communication, branding, sales and marketing, and business planning, alongside guidance and counseling on handling life’s challenges with a positive mindset. Lessons on substance abuse prevention, HIV/AIDS, and other social issues are included.
